Avi Donitza, DMD

Dr. Donitza

Born in Israel, Dr. Avi Donitza obtained his B.Sc degree in 1982 and his DMD degree from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, in 1985. He served in the Israeli army as a dentist until 1990 and took care of the prosthodontic needs of the army personal and their families in Haifa, Israel. He also maintained a private practice in Haifa, Israel for eight years and held a position as a clinical instructor in the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

In 1993 Dr. Donitza joined the Department of Prosthodontics at UCLA, was involved in research at the Center for Esthetic Dentistry and completed two years of continued education in prosthodontics and implant dentistry. At the same time, he took the necessary exams in preparation for the California State-Board Dental-Exam. He received his California dental license in June 1996.

Dr. Donitza continued his education at UCLA and received his Prosthodontics certificate in 1999 and his Maxillo-Facial Prosthodontics certificate in June 2001. He has maintained his practice in Beverly Hills since 1999 and joined Oral Construx in 2002. He is a member of the Cedar Sinai tumor board and participates in the multidisciplinary care of radiation patients and the prosthetic rehabilitation of cancer patients. Dr. Donitza is a part time Adjunct Professor in Removable Prosthodontics at UCLA and an active member of several professional organizations including the American College of Prosthodontists.
